Welcome to Madison Engineering
James Madison has a very involved engineering program that competes in multiple competitions each year. Our results vary, but we are often very competitive at said competitions. From the start of the school year all the way to the last competition students are working day and night to be successful at what they do.

Brainstorming |
The very first week is spent on explaining the theme for the year and what the competition entails. This usually includes learning rules for the competitions and constraints for the robot.
Preparation During the third week of school, students start to understand what they are doing and start building. This phase is nonstop and occurs at the same time as the next phase.
|
Beginning the second week of school, students start brainstorming ways to be successful in competition and to make all of the teams interact well and cohesively.
Competition This is it, what each student has been pouring their heart on for the last month and a half of school. This is where all of their work goes on the line. The very first competition is what makes or breaks the team's season.
